Overview
Reward Flooring Heritage is solid hardwood—3/4" thick—in maple, white oak, and red oak colorways. Widths in our catalog are 3-1/4" and 2-1/4" with random lengths 12"–72". Finish is an anti-scratch system with aluminum oxide; texture is smooth. Wear layer is listed as N/A (solid). Install methods listed: glue down, nail + glue, or float. Warranty language matches other Reward lines in our feed: Lifetime structural | Finish 25 Year Residential and 3 Year Light Commercial.
Heritage is the traditional strip-floor look—narrower than Provence’s 7-1/2" engineered planks—and the collection to discuss when someone specifically wants solid wood and future full sanding potential.
Suitability for Utah homes
Solid 3/4" wood moves with Utah’s dry winters more than engineered. We are honest: main levels with controlled RH are the usual fit; slabs and basements are usually better as engineered or waterproof products. Narrow widths are classic in older Salt Lake bungalows and can look intentional in new builds that want heritage rather than wide-plank modern.
Install and care
Typically nail or glue on suitable wood subfloors; floating solid is uncommon and only if Reward’s sheet allows for that SKU. Care: hardwood cleaners, RH control, rugs at entries. Solid’s advantage is multiple refinishes over decades when thickness remains—exactly what sand/refinish customers ask about on /flooring/hardwood-refinishing/.
How it compares
Heritage (solid, narrow) vs Provence III (engineered, 7-1/2"): completely different visual and movement behavior. Heritage vs Urbano/Terreno: solid strip vs wide engineered European oak with 4mm wear layers.
