Utah homes are hard on floors: low winter humidity upstairs, cooler slabs downstairs, ski grit in the mudroom, and dogs that treat the hallway like a racetrack.
Plank & Go is an authorized Bjelin dealer and installer in Utah. Here is how we evaluate Woodura for real households—without inventing performance claims.
Basements
Many Woodura SKUs on bjelin.com list high water resistance, underfloor-heating support, and thickness-swelling figures. That is useful signal—not a substitute for moisture testing the slab.
For basement projects we still:
- Check concrete moisture and flatness on site
- Confirm the specific SKU’s published water-resistance and install method
- Compare against waterproof laminate and LVP when the risk profile says so
If Bjelin’s data sheet for your chosen article does not support the use case, we say so and show alternatives from our materials catalog.
Kids and daily traffic
Look at the manufacturer’s wear resistance, impact resistance, and residential use class on the product page. Woodura marketing emphasizes a hardened wood surface; the numbers live on the SKU.
Brushed lacquer finishes (common on Woodura 3.0) are generally easier to maintain than soft oil-only looks—but follow Bjelin’s care documents for the finish you buy.
Pets
No wood floor is claw-proof. Densified surfaces and strong factory finishes help, and published Brinell / wear figures are worth reading. For extreme scratch risk we also sample GemCore waterproof laminate and SK Flooring LVP so you can feel the trade-offs.
What we bring to the appointment
- Relevant Bjelin colorways (for example Natural, Powder White, Terra Brown—availability varies)
- Side-by-side laminate/LVP if moisture or budget needs it
- A line-item install quote—not a website price list
