Utah's dry climate, especially in winter, affects wood-based flooring more than most homeowners expect. We'll talk through that at the consultation so you pick what'll actually hold up long-term.

See every option in your own home before you decide.

Once you pick a category (or if you're still deciding, that's fine too), we bring samples from all three directly to your door. You see them against your walls, under your lighting, next to your furniture. That's the part a showroom or a website can't give you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of flooring is best for kitchens?

LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) is the best flooring for kitchens because it's 100% waterproof. Kitchens see regular water exposure from sinks, dishwashers, and spills. Hardwood and laminate can both be damaged by standing water. LVP looks like hardwood but handles everything a kitchen throws at it.

Which flooring is most durable for families with pets?

LVP with a 20 mil wear layer is the most pet-friendly flooring option. It resists scratches from claws, is 100% waterproof for accidents, and cleans up easily. Laminate (AC4+) is also a good option for dry rooms. Hardwood can be scratched by large dogs but can be refinished.

What's the most affordable flooring option?

Laminate is the most affordable option at $3.99–$5.99 per square foot installed. LVP runs $3.99–$6.99 installed. Hardwood is the premium option at $9–$16 installed. All prices include materials and professional installation by Plank & Go's licensed Utah contractor.
